A Week Down the Shore

Just the vacation I needed! My family and I headed down the shore for a week to relax, have fun, and get away from reality. And that’s exactly what we did. Everyday we would go to the beach for about five hours to tan, unwind, and look for sea glass. The weather was perfect! Not a cloud in the sky and the sound of the waves crashing made it easy to destress.

After the beach, we had a routine of going back to the house, taking a shower, and getting ready for the night. We ate out for most of the nights because you can’t go wrong with shore food. Playa Bowls, Surf Taco, boardwalk sausage and peppers, and Jersey pizza were my favorites (not the most healthy, but it was vacation). The pizza we had was HUGE with the slices being the size of my head! While digesting dinner, we walked up and down the boardwalk watching people play games, and ride rides. For a little treat, I ordered Kohrs orange cream ice cream to finish off the perfect night. One night, we rode on the Ferris wheel which gave us a gorgeous view of the entire island during sunset. The view was breathtaking.

Oh and of course we had to ride beach cruisers too! We took morning rides to the local bakery to pick up breakfast as well as gorgeous sunset rides along the bay. As the week went on, we also did some damage shopping because they had the cutest stores. These memories are the ones I will never forget with my family.
